SPOT AND LU-LU

To all of you dog owners

That possess a male

I offer you this story

An all too common tale



When Spot runs away

Just guess where he goes?

Right to our yard

He just follows his nose



He smells little Lu-Lu

Then he stays for days

We can’t get him to leave

He just won’t go away.

Lu-Lu’s in a pen

But these dogs have good sense

They figure out a plan

And she backs up to the fence.



Soon Lu-Lu has her puppies

And Spot cannot be found

Where has he gone?

Back home safe and sound



The puppies, black and white

And spotted nonetheless

Have to find new homes

And hope to find the best

Then Lu-Lu soon is fixed

And will give birth no more

The owners sigh relief

No more Spot at the door



And Spot has now moved on

To Betsy down the street

He just follows his nose

And the cycle then repeats



To all of you dog owners

All around the world

Please have your dog fixed

Even if it’s not a girl!
